I am a mother and a small business owner.  Being a Shoreline native, I have worked as a hairstylist in Shoreline for 38 years.

When I was eight years old, I knew I wanted to be a hairstylist, and in the fall of 1983 began attending Kenmore Beauty School in Kenmore Washington.  After a year of training, I obtained my Cosmetology license and began working for The Split End Hair Salon, where I spent the next 16 years working hard and learning my craft well.  The Split End provided many opportunities for its employees to grow. I took advantage of nearly all of them, attending classes, teaching classes, training new hires, and serving as a member of the management team.

After having my daughter in 1997, I realized that I needed to be home with her, and I decided to go into business for myself.  In May of 2000 I opened the doors of my in-home salon where I worked a five-day work week and now take two Saturdays off a month.  I continue to attend classes and trade shows to steadily build my skills so I can give my clients the best possible service.  I enjoy working with my clients and I always strive to make them look and feel their best.

When I am not working, I keep a close eye on my aging parents as well as my family which includes a Silky Terrier and 2 long-haired miniature Dachshunds.  When I do have some time of my own, you can find me enjoying my passions; reading, quilting, rug-hooking and spending time at my family’s cabin on Lake Cavanaugh.
